This 12 day Morocco tour from Tangier allows you to explore the city’s lovely attractions, beginning with visits to Hercules Cave, the American Legation, and Cape Spartel. Afterward, you’ll then continue toward Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl of Morocco, before moving on to Fes, a cultural center rich in Moroccan tradition and history. Once there, we will explore the famous tanneries, historic Madrassas, Al Quaraouiyine University the world’s oldest university and a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as one of the King’s palaces, followed by a relaxing stroll through Jnan Sbil.
The following day, we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains toward the Sahara Desert of Merzouga, one of the most memorable highlights of the trip, where you’ll enjoy a camel ride and spend the night in a desert camp.
The next day, the journey continues with visits to the marvelous Todra Gorges and Dades Gorges, before heading to Ouarzazate, the famed “City of Cinema.” Here, we will explore Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO site where many famous movies have been filmed. Afterwards, we travel through the High Atlas Mountains toward Marrakech, a breathtaking city that welcomes millions of tourists each month. Following a guided tour of the city, we then head toward Essaouira and Rabat, finally concluding your Morocco tour in Tangier.
Upon arrival in Tangier airport, our driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel. Drop your luggage off and start your city tour with visits to Hercules Caves and the old Medina before heading to Cape Spartel where the mediterranean sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Late afternoon, we’ll transfer you to your accommodation where you will spend the night.
In the morning after breakfast at your hotel in Tangier, we’ll then head toward Chefchaouen enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Rif Mountains along the route. Stop at Akchour Waterfalls to explore this peaceful natural site and admire its marvelous surroundings. Next, we will then continue toward Chefchaouen, often known as Morocco’s Blue Pearl.
Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you will enjoy a guided city tour, including a visit to the Spanish Mosque and a walk through the vibrant streets of the old Medina. Following that, visit a local handicraft cooperative if you wish. At the end of the day, you’ll be transferred to your riad to spend the night appreciating the tranquil atmosphere of the city.
After breakfast at your Chefchaouan riad, we will drive to Fez through the Rif Mountains, stopping to see the breathtaking landscapes along the route. Stopping at Volubilis, the well-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage site, enjoy a guided tour around this archaeological sites. Afterward, we will make a visit to the breathtaking village of Mounlay Idriss Zerhoun, which is known for its whitewashed houses.
Continuing toward Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities where you’ll visit Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, the founder of the city and then continue to Bab Mansour gate and then drive to Fes where you’ll spend the night.
In the morning, we will meet your local tour guide of Fes and then set off on a guided tour of the city, visiting the old Medina of Fes, walk through its lovely narrow streets. After that, we will take you to the Royal Palace, wander through its beautiful golden dooes. Following that, explore Tanneries where animal leather is used to make clothes, bags and shoes.
Following that, explore the historic Medrassas, Nejjarine Fountain, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, and the famous Karaouine Mosque University, world’s oldest university and UNESCO wold heritage site. After that, we’ll head to Batha museum and Borj Nord where you’ll see the whole Medina of Fes. Finally, transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
In the morning, we will pick you up from your riad in Fes and drive toward the Sahara Desert of Merzouga enjoying the amazing sceneries along the way. Stopping at Ifrane, known as Morocco’s little Switzerland where you’ll visit the Atlas Lion Statue. After that, proceed to Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you will enjoy the amazing sceneries and take some photographs with Barbary Monkeys.
Continuing your trip toward the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Stopping at Boulaajoul where you’ll have lunch then continue to Midelt known as ” The Apple Capital” explore the city. Afterward, we will pass through Tizi N Talghamt pass, admiring the amazing landscapes along the way.
Stopping at Aoufous where you’ll enjoy a panorama over Ziz Valley. Late afternoon, cross the oasis of Tafilalet. Arriving in Merzouga desert where you will meet your camel guide and set off a camel ride through the dunes of Merzouga. Stopping for a wonderful sunset view and then continue to your desert camp where you’ll spend the night.
Start your day early to watch a beautiful sunrise over Merzouga dunes. After breakfast at your desert camp. Our driver will pick you up on 4×4 Jeep through the dunes of Merzouga, we will visit Hassi Lbeid oasis. and then head behind the dunes of Merzouga where you’ll meet nomad families living behind the dunes of Merzouga, explore their lifestyle and experience Berber Pizza. Following that, continue to the village of Khamlia, listen to their Ganwa music and have lunch. In the afternoon, head back to Hassi Lbeid for optional desert activities like buggy rides, quad biking, or sandboarding. Finally, we will transfer you to the riad where you’ll spend the night.
After brekafast at your riad in Merzouga, we will drive toward Rissani, one of Morocco’s ancient cities, explore its traditional market and visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif before continuing toward Todra Valley. Stop in Fezna to see the impressive Khettarat water channels, then pass through charming Berber villages such as Tourog and Tinjdad.
Arriving at Todra Gorges, admire the 300-meter cliffs and take a walk through the narrow canyon. After lunch, continue the drive toward Dades Gorges, known for its dramatic landscapes. Upon arrival in Dades Gorges, you’ll explore the rock formation known as Monkey Fingers then take you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
In the morning, you will be picked up from your riad in Dades gorges and follow the scenic Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, appreciating the wonderful landscapes along the way. Stopping at Kalaa M’gouna, known for its rose cosmetic products. Continue through Skoura to visit the beautiful Amridil Kasbah before reaching Ouarzazate, where you can explore the Taourirt Kasbah and Film Studio.
After lunch at a local restaurant in Ouarzazate, we will proceed with you tour to Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most impressive fortified villages and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After walking through its alleys and ksour, cross the High Atlas Mountains, passing the dramatic curves of the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where you will stop to take some photos over the Atlas Mountains. Late afternoon, arrive in Marrakech then take you to your riad where you’ll spend the night.
We will pick you up from your riad in Marrakech and then start your tour of Marrakech with a local tour guide. Begin by touring Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace. Explore Marrakech’s historic Medina. After that. stroll through its busy alleys, proceed to Souk Semmarine and make a visit to Madrasa Ben Youssef, one of Morocco’s oldest Qoranic schools. Then continue your full-day tour by going to Djamaa Lfna Square, where you can watch a variety of entertaining performances, including storytellers, musicians, and snake charmers. Thereafter, you will be taken to your riad, where you will spend the night.
Following breakfast in Marrakech, we head west toward Essaouira to enjoy a peaceful coastal escape. Our route will then take us through the region of Chichaoua, home to large Argan forests. We’ll visit a local cooperative to learn how Argan oil is made using traditional methods. Following this, we continue the drive, you’ll have the chance to stop and take photos of the famous goats perched in Argan trees. Upon arriving in Essaouira, start your city tour with a walk through the charming old Medina, followed by a visit to the beach and the busy port where you’ll see the blue boats, known as the Berber boats. Lunch will be served near the ocean. In the late afternoon, we’ll transfer you to your riad for an overnight.
In the morning after breakfast at your riad in Essaouira, we will then leave toward Rabat, admiring the amazing landscapes along the Atlantic Ocean. Arriviing in Casablanca where you’ll visit Hassan II Mosque, Africa’second largest Mosque then visit the old medina of Casablanca.
After a hearty lunch, we will head toward Rabat, Morocco’s capital city where you’ll visit Oudaya kasbah, a 19 century kasbah overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. After that, explore Hassan Tower, an unfinished minaret in the heart of Rabat and Mausoleum of Mohamed V. Following that, we’ll then proceed to Chellah and Rabat’s old Medina strol through its wonderful narrow streets. Late afternoon, take you to your Hotel where you’ll spend the last night of your 12 day Morocco Tour.
Your 12 day Morocco tour comes to an end today. After breakfast in Rabat, we travel toward Tangier, stopping in the seaside town of Asilah to stroll its artistic and colorful Medina.
We will then follow the Atlantic coast all the way to Tangier. Once there, you’ll explore the Hercules Caves and enjoy panoramic views from Cape Spartel. Finally, take you to your hotel or directly to the Tangier airport, finishing your 12 day Morocco Tour with amazing stories.
