3 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes – Cedar Forest – Merzouga:

In the morning, we will leave the medieval city of Fes and start crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying the lovely sceneries along the way with a short break in Ifrane, the town of the first ski resort in Morocco, known as Morocco’s little Switzerland, we will be surrounded by amazing sceneries and landscapes of the Mountains and plains. Following that, we continue our way through the Cedar Forest, Morocco’s Largest Forest, to see the species of native monkeys living in the cedar forest. We will stop for lunch in Midelt, a town that celebrates the festival of apples every year at the beginning of October. From Midelt we will travel to Errachidia, named after Prince Moulay Rachid, pass through Tizi – N- Talghamt pass before driving through Ziz Valley to the gate of the Sahara Desert Erfoud, known as ‘’the Date Capital’’ We arrive to Merzouga where you will have some time to relax before you start the desert adventure on the back of camels. You will ride over the sands as the sun begins to set and as you reach the magnificent Erg Chebbi sand dunes, enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the dunes of Merzouga then continue to your desert camp. As night falls, listen to the intoxicating beat of Berber drum music and enjoy a Moroccan home-cooked feast before sleeping in a private luxury room enjoying the quietness of the desert.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges:

Wake up for a lovely sunrise over the marvelous dunes of Merzouga. We’ll then depart for Rissani, one of Morocco’s oldest cities, traversing the rocky desert. Explore Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum before wandering through the lively souks of Rissani. Next, we’ll journey toward the Todra Gorges, admiring breathtaking landscapes along the way as we pass through the majestic palm groves of Tafilalet. A stop in Melaab offers the option of getting a Henna tattoo.
Continuing to Todra Gorges, you’ll take a scenic walk between towering cliffs and a flowing river in this picturesque valley, lined with date palms and culminating in a dramatic gorge, popular for rock climbing and picnics. After lunch, we’ll proceed to the Dades Valley, marveling at its striking rock formations while crossing the red mountains. Upon arrival at Dades Gorges, visit the fascinating ‘’Monkey Fingers’’ rock formation and the winding Tisadrine road before settling in for the night at your accommodation in Dades Valley.

Day 3: Dades Gorges – Ait Ben Haddou-Marrakech:

After breakfast, we will depart from Dades Gorges and head toward Kalaat M’Gouna, famously known as the “Rose City.” Here, we’ll stop to visit a local cooperative specializing in rose-based cosmetic products (optional stop). Continuing our trip, we’ll pass through the lush palm groves of Skoura, making a stop at the historic Amridil Kasbah, one of the region’s well-preserved ancient kasbahs. Upon arriving in Ouarzazate, often known as “Hollywood of Africa,” we’ll explore the famous film studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. We will then visit Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified kasbah and UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its traditional architecture. After lunch, we will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains, Stopping at Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters high), where you can take in the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains. We will then continue our way to Marrakech, enjoying the spectacular landscapes along the way. In the late afternoon, we will drop you off at your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech.
