4 days tour from Marrakech to Fes Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou -Dades valley:
In the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation, or the airport in Marrakech and set off toward Dades Gorges, crossing the amazing High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will stop at Tizi N’Tichka Pass, which stands at 2,260 meters. Continuing our trip, we will drive through the breathtaking Ounila Valley before arriving at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for being the backdrop of films such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy. After lunch, we will head to Ouarzazate, often known as “Hollywood of Africa,” where you will visit Taourirt Kasbah and the famous Film Studio of Ouarzazate.
Our trip then continues toward Dades Gorges, with breathtaking landscapes along the way. Stopping in Skoura Oasis to explore one of the region’s ancient kasbahs before continuing to Kalaat M’gouna, known as “The Rose City.” Visit a local cooperative for rose cosmetic products and capture beautiful photos at the Rose Valley. In the late afternoon, proceed to Dades Gorges, admire the fascinating rock formations known as “Monkey Fingers,” then take you to your kasbah where you’ll spend the night in Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert:
In the morning, we’ll travel to Tinghir, passing through beautiful palm groves on our way to the spectacular Todra Gorges. Towering limestone cliffs form a stunning path across the Todra Massif before falling into the riverbed. The gorge’s peaks rise to 320 meters, a spectacular passage through the High Atlas Mountains. Explore the gorges and the palm groves at your own. Following a hearty lunch, we will continue our journey through Tinjdad and Erfoud, both famous for their gorgeous palm oasis. We will then proceed to Merzouga’ Sahara desert.
Upon arrival join on a camel ride across the rolling dunes of Erg Chebbi, stopping to witness a breathtaking sunset over the golden sands their colors changing with the light, reaching an impressive height of 150 meters. The evening promises an unforgettable experience as you spend the night in traditional nomadic tents under a sky full of stars, enjoy a delicious dinner followed by the rhythms of Berber drums, making this undoubtedly one of the best nights of your 4 day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes.
Day 3: Merzouga Full day tour:
Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the desert before returning to the camp for breakfast. Following that, join on a full-day tour of Merzouga, starting with a visit to the nomadic families living behind the dunes of Merzouga, where you’ll get a glimpse into their traditional way of life. Afterward, head to Khamlia, where you’ll meet a local African music group, listen to their captivating rhythms, and learn about their culture. Afterward, return to Merzouga for lunch before exploring the scenic Hassi Lbeid oasis. Following that, Take a leisurely walk through the lush palm groves of Hassi Lbeid, free time to try Quad or Buggy ride through the dunes of Merzouga then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
Day 4: Merzouga – Midelt – Fes:
We will leave for Fes after breakfast at your hotel in Merzouga. Along the way, we will enjoy beautiful scenery. We’ll be travelling through the beautiful Ziz Valley, where you’ll visit one of Morocco’s largest oasis. Then we’ll continue towards Midelt, which is known as “The Apple Capital,” Stopping for lunch. Following that, we’ll go through the Cedar Forest, Morocco’s largest forest, then continue toward Ifrane, known as ”Morocco’s Little Switzerland”, visit the Atlas Lion Statue and then toward Fes where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation or the airport.
