DAY 1: Fes – Azrou – Merzouga desert:

We commence our 5-day journey from Fes to Marrakech at 8:00, heading towards Merzouga desert. Our route takes us through the enchanting city of Ifrane, often referred to as the ‘Little Switzerland of Morocco.” Following that, we travel to the Cedar forest, a habitat for Barbary Apes. Continuing our journey, we reach the city of Midelt, where we stop for lunch. Then we drive through the Ziz Valley, enjoying the sceneries along the way . You’ll have the opportunity to explore the captivating oasis of Tafilalt.

In the afternoon, our route takes us to Erfoud, recognized as ”the Date Capital” and famous for its distinctive rock formations. Arriving in Merzouga desert, then meet your camel guide, set off your camel ride adventure crossing the dunes of Erg chebbi. Stop to watch sunset before heading to the camp in the middle of the desert where you will spend the night.

DAY 2: Merzouga Full day Tour – Visit nomads:

After having breakfast at your hotel, meet your driver to begin your tour of Merzouga, including visits to Hassi Lbied, Tanamoust, and Khamlia, where a black-skinned musical group performs traditional Gnawa music. This provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in their ethnic music. Following this, we will drive through the orange dunes of the Sahara Desert in Merzouga, offering insights into the nomadic way of life. Following that, we return to the dune line, where your camel guide awaits to take you across the Erg Chebbi dunes. During the journey, make stops to marvel at the breathtaking sunset and capture captivating photographs. After an hour, you’ll reach the camp nestled in the heart of the Sahara, where you’ll be greeted with Moroccan mint tea. Following dinner, join a drumming party around the campfire for a leisurely overnight stay in your private room.

DAY 3: Merzouga – Dades Gorges:

Wake you up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise, then enjoy breakfast and a refreshing shower to rejuvenate for the upcoming days of your 5-day journey from Fes to Marrakech. Depart for Rissani, where a vibrant traditional market awaits exploration, along with visits to some museums and the Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum. Continuing our drive, we pass through villages such as Jorf and Tinjdad before reaching Tinghir, where spectacular narrowing gorges provide an ideal setting for mountaineers. You have the option to hike along the riverside, crossing the gorges and even trying your hand at mountaineering if you’re interested. Lunchtime. then we proceed to Dades Gorges, unveiling the remarkable rock formations known as “the Monkey Fingers.” In the late afternoon, you’ll be transfered to your hotel.

DAY 4: Dades Gorges – Kalaat M’agouna – Ouarzazate:

After breakfast at your hotel in Dades Gorges, then we head through Kalaat M’agouna, known for Roses Festival you may buy some local cosmetics that are made by local cooperatives. If interested,  Our next destination will be Skoura known for 1000  Kasbahs. Then, we  make a visit to Amerdile Kasbah, a medieval fortified home or kasbah (tighremt in Amazigh) located in the Moroccan oasis of Skoura. Following that, We head to Ouarzazate, Hollywood of Africa. Overnight at your accommodation.

DAY 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech:

Waking up in the morning and traveling to Touarirt Kasbah, a historic fortified kasbah in Ouarzazate. Following that, we will visit the Film Studio. Then, a trip to  Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and walled village where numerous movies, including Game of Thrones and Gladiator, have been filmed. Following that, we will travel through the High Atlas Mountains, then travel through some traditional Berber villages on our way to Marrakech arriving in Marrakech drop you off at your accommodation or the airport.
