Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca: 

Welcome to Morocco! Arrive at Casablanca Med V Airport, where you will meet your driver. The driver will give you a brief overview of your tour. Depending on your arrival time, explore the city of Casablanca starting with the Hassan II Mosque, built by King Hassan II, which shows a wonderful example of Moorish influences in Morocco. The mosque can accommodate up to 100,000 worshippers; we will also take a pleasant walk along the Casablanca sea. Casablanca is the economic capital and the largest city of Morocco, linked to the 1942 film Casablanca, with modern architecture and a white building with distinct French art deco influences. We will also visit the main square of Med V and the Sacred Heart Cathedral, which blends Moroccan and European influences. Following that, we’ll transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouan:

In the morning, we will head toward Rabat, Morocco’s capital city, we will see the tower of the unfinished Hassan Mosque dating back to the 12th century. You will also visit the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, built by King Hassan II and dedicated to his father, Mohamed V, for honoring him as the father of independence. Afterwards, visit the 12th century Kasbah of Oudaya with its beautiful white and blue buildings with a fantastic view of the Atlantic Ocean and the Bouragrag River. Afterwards, drive to the city of Chefchaouen, a breathtaking town nestled in the Rif Mountains. You will enjoy a walking tour through the winding Medina where streets, gates and buildings are painted in bright blue. This city has a powerful charm that you can really feel in the main square, in the cobbled Medina. Sit on a café terrace and admire the view of the great mosque whose octagonal minaret is inspired by that of the Torre de Oro in Seville. This Andalusian architecture can be found in the Kasbah and its gardens, in the center of the Medina. Enjoy a stroll through the lively streets of the old Medina, then visit Ras Lma waterfalls before transferring to your accommodation where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Chefchaouan – Volubilis – Fes:

In the morning, after breakfast at your accommodation in Chefchaouan, we head from Chefchaouen to Meknes to enjoy a guided tour of Meknes, one of the imperial cities of Morocco. We begin our guided tour by visiting the 18th century Bab Mansour, the ornamental gate to the imperial city of Meknes built by Sultan Moulay Ismail. We continue our tour to the impressive Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. We then pass by the entrance of the Royal Palace of Meknes and end up at Moulay Ismail’s enormous Heri es Souani. This was his personal stable and granary for his 12,000 horses. After lunch, we make our way through the rolling hills for a guided tour of the impressive Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the best-preserved Roman ruins in this part of North Africa. We leave the Roman Ruins to head towards Fez and transfer you to your accommodation.

Day 4: Fes Full day sightseeing:

After breakfast, you will meet your private tour guide to enjoy a guided city tour to explore the first imperial city of Morocco, Fes; this UNESCO World Heritage Site was founded in the 9th century, and is home to the world’s oldest university. The first stop of the morning is a visit to the entrance of the largest royal palace in Morocco. Afterwards, we will drive for a wonderful panoramic views of the whole medina from the southern tower of Fes, visit a pottery co-operative where tiles and Moroccan mosaic are made. We will visit the tanneries, to watch the locals working with the skins of animals such as goat, camel and cow. We will explore a Medrassa (Koranic school), the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque University. Enjoy a Moroccan lunch at a traditional restaurant in the Medina. Afterwards, continue to explore the medina and its narrow alleys house hundreds of merchants and craftsmen selling a range of products such as dates, fish, spices, copper urns and musical instruments. Late afternoon, transfer you to your accommodation.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Merzouga Desert:

In the morning, we will depart from Fes, passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains, starting with a visit to Ifrane, often known as “The Little Switzerland of Morocco” for its Alpine-style architecture and ski resort charm. We will then pass through the cedar forest of Azrou, the largest forest in Morocco, home to Barbary apes, where you will have the chance to see these friendly monkeys, feed them and take unforgettable photos. Continue to Midelt, a beautiful town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, where you may stop for lunch while enjoying breathtaking views of the Eastern High Atlas. This route offers a rich variety of landscapes, passing through marvelous mountainous terrain where nomadic shepherds roam with their herds of goats and sheep. As you descend south, admire the beauty of the legendary Ziz Valley, a lush oasis bordering a spectacular canyon. Follow its winding route to Erfoud, known as “The Capital of Dates”, visit a fossil museum in the city before crossing the majestic oasis of Tafilalet enjoying the incredible sceneries along the way. Arrive in Merzouga desert where you will meet your camel guide and set off on a camel ride adventure through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Stop for a wonderful sunset and then continue to your desert camp in the middle of the desert where you will spend the night.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges:

Wake up early in the morning for a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga, then return to your desert camp where you will spend the night. After that, you will return to the dune line by 4×4 Jeep or Camels, then depart for our next destination: Dades Gorges. On the way, enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Erg Chebbi dunes, which change color as the sunlight changes throughout the day. Our journey continues through Rissani, where you will visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherf, then stroll through the souks of Rissani. After that, we will continue through Melaab, visit a Berber house where you will get Henna, known as “the Moroccan tattoo”, then head to Tinghir and the Todra Gorges, home to the highest and narrowest canyons in Morocco, a paradise for nature lovers and photographers. After enjoying lunch in the heart of the gorges, we will head towards the breathtaking Dades Gorges, appreciating the beautiful landscapes along the way. Arriving at the Dades Gorges, visit the majestic rock formation known as “Monkey’s Fingers”. We will spend the night at your accommodation in Dades Valley.

Day 7: Dades Gorges – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech:

In the morning, we depart towards Tisadrine, a beautiful winding road that offers breathtaking views of the Dades Gorges. Continuing our journey, we pass through Kalaat M’gouna, known as “The City of Roses”, famous for its annual rose festival and fragrant rose products, we will visit a local cooperative for cosmetic products (optional stop). Then, we will pass through Skoura, often known for its “Road of a thousand kasbahs”, where we will visit some of its most notable sites, including Ameridil Kasbah (Tighrmt). From there, we proceed to Ouarzazate, often known as “Hollywood of Africa”, where you will visit the film studio and explore the historic kasbah of Taourirt. Our tour continues to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most famous ksars in Morocco and a popular location for films and series such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones and The Mummy.
After lunch, we will drive through Telouet, crossing the breathtaking Berber villages, making stop at the paradise panorama where we will explore the impressive Telouet Kasbah, an architectural jewel with a rich history. Finally, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 meters) to admire the panoramic views. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Marrakech, and then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.

Day 8: Marrakech Full Day Sightseeing tour:

After breakfast, you will be escorted by a local tour guide to explore the city of Marrakech. You will visit the main historical monuments including: the gorgeous Bahia palace built in 19th century, the Koranic School of Ben Youssef, and the Koutoubia mosque built in 12th century, second largest Mosque in Morocco. Following that, visit the famous Souks; a great place for shopping where you can buy presents for your family, friends or yourselves. Relax in the Majorelle Gardens, a peaceful space in the New Town with exotic botanical plants brought from all over the world. You will finish your tour in the main square of Djemaa Lefna with its story tellers, snake charmers, musicians, acrobats and open air food stalls. You will also have free time to enjoy a soft drink in one of the cafes where you can get amazing panoramic views across the square then transfer you to your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech.
