8 days tour from Marrakech to Marrakech Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech Full day sightseeing tour:
In the morning, we’ll start your guided tour of Marrakech with local guide. First, visit the famous Koutoubia Mosque, wander through the lively souks, and discover Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Majorelle Gardens, and Yves Saint laurent museum. Next, visit the old Medina of Marrakech, walk through its lovely alleyways, then continue to Menara which is a popular site with a lot to see. Late afternoon, we’ll transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorges:
After breakfast at your accommodation in Merzouga, starts as you depart from Marrakech and make your way through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Along the route, you’ll be treated to amazing views of the dramatic mountain scenery before reaching the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, continue on to Ouarzazate for a quick visit to the Atlas Film Studios. Finally, head to Boumalne Dades, passing through Skoura, home to 1000 kasbahs admiring the finest sceneries along the way. Following that, visit Kalaat M’gouna known as the rose city. Late afternoon, we arrive in Dades Gorges then visit the rock formation known as Monkey Fingers and then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
Day 3: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert:
After breakfast, we start our day with a drive towards the Todra Gorges where many of rock climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport. Later we continue our journey, following the ancient Bedouin trading routes parallel with the Middle Atlas, passing a series of the fortified villages with outstanding architecture. The route to Erfoud is one of the most pleasing of all the Southern routes. The town is in a dry red built of desert and was built by the French as a central administration town. It is known for its rich black fossils marble. The stone is sculpted to bring the fossils into relief on everything from ashtrays to washbasins and more. We head down to the spectacular Merzouga dunes where sand dunes signify the start of the mighty Sahara Desert. We leave our vehicle and take a camel ride into the desert to a Berber camp, admiring the amazing sceneries along the way. Stopping for a breathtaking sunset and then continue to your desert camp where you’ll spend a magical night with a drumming party around the campfire.
Day 4: Merzouga full day tour:
After breakfast at your Riad in Merzouga, proceed your tour through Tafilalet palm groves, offering beautiful natural landscapes along the way. Afterwards, make a stop in Rissani, one of the ancient cities of Morocco and an important trading center in the region, with a lively souk that bustles on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After exploring Rissani souks, the tour continues to Erfoud, where you will visit a fossil museum. Next, the drive follows the Ziz valley, with a stop for a panoramic view of Ziz Valley. After that, we’ll stop in Midelt for lunch, and then continue to the cedar forests, home to Barbary macaques, where you’ll make stop for some photographs. Following this, we continue to Fes through Ifrane, Morocco’s Little Switzeland, visit the Atlas lion and then continue to Fes dropping you off at your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
Day 6: Fes Full day sightseeing tour:
After breakfast, you will meet your private tour guide to enjoy a guided city tour to explore the first imperial city of Morocco, Fes; this UNESCO World Heritage Site was founded in the 9th century, and is home to the world’s oldest university. The first stop of the morning is a visit to the entrance of the largest royal palace in Morocco. Afterwards, we will drive for a wonderful panoramic views of the whole medina from the southern tower of Fes, visit a pottery co-operative where tiles and Moroccan mosaic are made. We will visit the tanneries, to watch the locals working with the skins of animals such as goat, camel and cow. We will explore a Medrassa (Koranic school), the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque University. Enjoy a Moroccan lunch at a traditional restaurant in the Medina. Afterwards, continue to explore the medina and its narrow alleys house hundreds of merchants and craftsmen selling a range of products such as dates, fish, spices then take you to Borj Nord where you’ll see the whole Medina of Fes then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
Day 7: Fes – Meknes – Chefchaouan:
In the morning, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Fes, then head toward Chefchaouan, Morocco’s Blue city, with a stop at Volubilis, preserved Roman ruins and UNESCO world heritage site. Next, continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cites, where you’ll visit Bab Mansour and Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Following that, we will cross the Riff Mountains, admiring the finest sceneries along the way. Arriving in Chefchaouan, enjoy a tour of the city, explore the old Medina of Chefchaouan, walk through its blue washed alleys, and then visit Ras Lma and the Spanish Mosque. Late afternoon, take you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
Day 8: Chefchaouan – Casablanca – Marrakech:
In the morning, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Chefchaouan, and then head toward Rabat, Morocco’s Capital city, taking in the finest sceneries along the way. Arriving in Rabat, explore Hassan Tower, Ouadaya Kasbah and Mausoleum of Mohamed V. After lunch, we’ll continue your trip to Casablanca. Late afternoon, we arrive in Casablanca, visit Hassan II Mosque, Africa’second Largest Mosque, famously known for its breathtaking designs and archtecture, it extends to 100,000 whorshippers. Following that, we’ll continue to Marrakech. Arriving in Marrakech transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
