3 days Sahara desert tour from Fes to Merzouga starts with a pick up from your accommodation in Fes at 8:00 am. Then head towards Merzouga desert taking in the breathtaking landscapes along the way. We will make a stop in Ifrane, known as ”Morocco’s little Switzerland”. Later on, drive through Cedar Forest, the largest forest in Morocco, home to Barbary Apes. We will then continue towards Midelt a small town located at the heart of Anti -Atlas Mountains known as ”The Apple Capital.”After lunch, head to Merzouga desert enjoying the incredible sceneries along the way.

Passing through Tizi N Talghemt Pass (She-Camel Pass). Descending down Ziz Valley. Arriving in Aoufous stop for a break over an outstanding panorama over the city. Following that, continue our way to Erfoud, known for fossils and ”The Date Festival.” We’ll then pass through the grey desert to reach Merzouga, where you’ll spend the night.

Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Savour a delicious breakfast. The day unfolds with an adventurous journey to Khamlia, a village famous for its enchanting Gnawa music. Immerse yourself in the hypnotic rhythms and melodies performed by local African musicians, whose heritage traces back to the southern regions of Africa. Our tour continues with an off-road visit to M’Fis, an abandoned village that once thrived due to its Galena mines. Wander through the remnants of this historic settlement.

Following that, experience the warmth of Berber hospitality as we visit a nomadic family near the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. Following lunch, unwind at a charming Riad, where you can relax and take a refreshing dip in the pool. As the afternoon fades, choose between an exhilarating quad biking or buggy ride (optional), offering amazing sunset views over the dunes. Alternatively, take a peaceful walk and marvel at the beauty of nature. The day concludes with a delightful dinner and a restful night in the cosy ambiance of your Riad.

In the morning after breakfast at your desert camp, We cross the verdant oasis and magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock and through the Tizi N Talghamt Pass to Midelt, passing millions of palm trees and fortified villages characterised by fascinating southern architecture. We stop for lunch in Midelt, known as ”The Apple Capital. Continue through the Middle Atlas mountain range and Cedar Forest of Azrou, ”where you’ll have the chance to take some photographs with Barbary monkeys. Late afternoon, continue toward Fes via Immouzar Kander. Arriving in Fes transfer you to your accommodation or the airport.
