Our 4 Days Desert Tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga offers you the chance to explore the southern part of Morocco including “Hollywood of Africa” Ouarzazate where you’ll explore the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site and the city’s famous film studios. Your tour continues to Skoura, famous as the road of a thousand kasbahs, where you’ll visit the historic Amridile Kasbah. Following that, continue toward Kelaat M’gouna and the Sahara desert of Merzouga where you will enjoy a camel ride through the dunes of Merzouga with an overnight stay in the middle of the desert.

On the last day, drive to Ouarzazate, taking an alternative route, visiting Rissani, one of Morocco’s oldest cities “The Trade City,” where you’ll have the opportunity to explore a traditional Berber souk (market). Our route then continues through Alnif. By midday, we reach Nkob, a beautiful Berber village, where we stop for a relaxing lunch. After that, proceed through Draa Valley and the Ait Saouen pass, arriving in Ouarzazate, where your trip finishes with amazing stories.

Itinerary of 4 Days Desert Tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga:

Day 1:Ouarzazate →Skoura → Dades Gorges (2H):

In the morning, we’ll begin your tour at 8:00 a.m. Set off with a drive to Ait Ben Haddou, UNESCO world heritage site where several movies like Gladiator, Game of Thrones and The Mummy were filmed, explore the Kasbah with a local guide. Following that, head to Ouarzazate, known as Hollywood of Africa, and Film Studio of Ouarzazate.

After lunch, continue our way to Skoura, Home to 1000 kasbahs. We will make a visit to Ameridile Kasbah, one of the historic kasbahs in the region. Following this, we’ll continue to Kalaat M’gouna, famed for its vibrant rose festival. On the route, make stops along the way before arriving in Dades Gorges where you’ll visit rock formation known as Monkey Fingers and then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2:Dades Gorges → Todra Gorges → Merzouga Desert (4H):

After a hearty breakfast at your riad in Dades Gorges, continue on a scenic drive along the route heading to Todra Gorges, known as Morocco’s narrowest gorges. we will enjoy a walk through the gorges with your local guide.

Following that, we will continue through Tinghir Oasis. Upon reaching Tinjdad, where you’ll stop for lunch. After that, we continue to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga where your camel guide will be waiting for you to take you on a camel ride through the lovely dunes of Merzouga. Stopping for a breathtaking sunset and then continue to your desert camp where you’ll spend the night with a drumming party around the campfire.

Day 3: Merzouga areas → Nomad Families:

In the morning wake up for a marvelous sunrise over the lovely dunes of Merzouga. After breakfast, Begin your guided tour of Merzouga and its surrounding villages, including Hassi Labied, Tanamoust, and Khamlia where you’ll enjoy a vibrant traditional music by Gnawa group. Afterward, set off on a 4×4 adventure across Merzouga dunes, visiting nomadic families to gain insight into their daily lives and traditions. We will continue the tour with a visit to the peaceful Hassi Labied Oasis. In the late afternoon, transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.

Day 4:Merzouga → Nkob →Draa Valley → Ouarzazate (5H):

In the morning, we will pass through the black desert enjoying the breathtaking landscapes. Stopping in Rissani where you’ll visit Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum and then stroll through the lively souks. After that, we’ll head through Djebl Sghrou and Nkob known as the kingdom of Kasbahs where you’ll stop for lunh. Afterward, proceed to Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest valley. Stop for some photographs and then continue to Ouarzazate through the road of Ait Souen. Late afternoon, arrive in Ouarzazate then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.

How can I book this tour, and what are the payment methods available?

To book your 4 days tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga, simply contact us via WhatsApp, email, contact form, or social media. After we finalize the trip, a small deposit payable by PayPal, credit card, or bank transfer will be required to secure your booking. Once the deposit is received, you will receive a formal booking confirmation. The remaining balance can be paid in cash at pick-up or by credit card (subject to a 5% processing fee).

What is your cancellation policy in case I have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances?

Your deposit is fully refundable for cancellations made more than 15 days before your trip’s start date. However, cancellations made within 15 days, the deposit is none-refundable.

Where will I meet the driver upon arrival? Is there a specific meeting point arranged?

Our driver will meet you at your location, whether at the airport or your accommodation. Kindly share your accommodation address so we can arrange your pick-up there at 8:40 a.m.

If I choose not to go to the camp by camel, are there alternative transportation options available?

Certainly if you prefer not to ride a camel, we can arrange a 4×4 Jeep transfer to take you to the camp instead.

If I choose to ride the camel to the camp, will my luggage be transported separately to the camp?

Absolutely, your luggage will be safely transported to the camp via a 4×4 jeep.
