5 Days Tour from Marrakech to the Imperial cities

In the morning, you’ll be picked up from your riad or the airport in Marrakech and head toward the Sahara desert of Merzouga, enjoying the breathtaking sceneries along the way. We’ll first pass through Tizi N Tichka pass (2260 meters High). Following that, proceed toward Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, UNESCO world heritage site and best place for filmmakers where many movies have been filmed like Game of Thrones and the Mummy. Later on, we will then continue to Ouarzazate where you’ll explore Taourirt Kasbah. After that, drive through the road of 1000 kasbahs, admiring the breathtaking landscapes along the way.

Arriving at Todra Gorges, admire this breathtaking Canyons and have a walk with your local guide. Next, drive through Berber villages including Melaab, Tinjdad and Jorf where you’ll feel the begininng of Saharan Oasis. Upon arrival in Merzouga desert, you will then join a camel ride adventure through the dunes of Merzouga. Arriving at your desert camp where you’ll spend the night enjoying a drumming party around the campfire.

Wake up for a lovely sunrise over the marvelous dunes of Merzouga and then continue your 5 days tour from Marrakech to the imperial cities of Morocco. Stopping in Erfoud, known as ”The Date Capital” then head toward Midelt via Tizi N Talghamt pass where you’ll admire a view of the Atlas Mountains. Arriving in Midelt known as ” The Apple Capital” where you’ll have lunch. After that, drive toward Fes along the way, you’ll then visit Cedar Forest of Azrou, Morocco’s largest Forest and then head to Ifrane, Morocco’s Little Switzerland where you’ll explore the Atlas Lion Statue. Late afternoon, arrive in Fes finally transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night. 

After breakfast at your riad, start your sightseeing tour of the city with local tour guide. We’ll first visit the old Medina of Fes, walk through its lively narrow streets and then explore Al Qaraouine University, world’s oldest university and UNESCO world heritage site. After that, visit Bou anania and Attarine Madrasa, one of the oldest schools of Fes.  Following that, continue to Tanneries where animal leather is used to make clothes, bags and shoes.

Afterward, explore Moulay Idriss I, the founder of the city. After lunch at a local restaurant in the old Medina of Fes, walk through its narrow streets full of textiles, handmade products and spices. Late afternoon, you’ll head to Borj Nord where you’ll seee the whole Medina of Fes then take you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.

We will then depart from Fes and drive toward Marrakech, enjoying the amazing landscapes along the way. Arriving in Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where you’ll visit Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, the founder of the city. Following that, drive toward Rabat, Morocco’s capital city where you’ll visit Hassan tower, and Mausoleum of Mohamed V and Oudaya Kasbah, a lovely kasbah, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

After lunch at a local restaurant in the old Medina, continue to Marrakech admiring the lovely sceneries along the way. Stopping in Casablanca, where you’ll visit Hassan II Mosque, Africa’second largest Mosque then continue to Marrakech. Late afternoon, arrive in Marrakech then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the last night of your 5 days tour from Marrakech to the Imperial cities.

In the morning after breakfast at your accommodation in Marrakech,  start your tour of the city with local tour guide. You’ll then begin with a guided tour of the old Medina of Marrakech, stroll through its lively narrow streets then explore Ben Youssef Madrasa, one of the oldest schools.

After that, head to Majorelle Garden, a lovely garden with blue washed colors and plants from all over the world. Following that, visit Bahia Palace, a 19 century monument in the heart of the city. After lunch at the heart of the old Medina of Marrakech, we’ll then visit Saadian Tombs. Late afternoon, stroll through the lively square of Djmaa Lfena before taking you to the airport in Marrakech.
