This private 9 Days Morocco Itinerary from Tangier to Marrakech will take you across Morocco, starting in Tangier and ending in Marrakech. We will explore Hercules Cave, the old Medina of Tangier immersing yourself in the city’s rich heritage. Following that, we’ll drive to Chefchaouen, known as the “the Blue Pearl of Morocco”. We will then continue to visit Fes, a cultural city, where you can discover tanneries, historic Madrassas, and Al Quaraouiyine University, one of the world’s oldest universities. The following day, continue to Merzouga Sahara desert where you will experience a camel ride with overnight stay in the middle of the desert. Next, visit nomad families behind the dunes of Merzouga, learn about the fascinating Gnawa culture, and visit Lake Dayet Srij and the peaceful oasis of Hassi Labied.
We will then continue to Todgha and Dades Gorges, followed by a visit to Ouarzazate, also known as “ The City of Cinema.” You’ll see the famous Atlas Studios and the historic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a striking Berber fortress. Finally, we’ll cross the Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech where you’ll finish your sightseing tour of the city.
Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at the airport or the port in Tangier, our driver will be waiting for you then transfer you to your accommodation, drop your luggage off and then start your tour of Tangier, visit Hercules caves, and the old Medina of Tangier, walk through its lively narrow streets. Following that, we’ll take you to the Cape Spartel where the mediterranean sea meets the Atlantic ocean. Late afternoon, we will transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
After breakfast at your accommodation in Tangier, we’ll cross the majestic Riff Mountains, passing through the fertile plains of Tetouan, we see oaks, pines and cork oaks grow along the way. On the way to Chefchaouan, we’ll then stop at Akchour waterfalls; walk along its beautiful valley and enjoy the brethtaking landscapes the place has to offer.
Following that, drive to Chefchaouan, a charming town located against the captivating backdrop of the Riff Mountains, full of whitewashed cottages and unique alleyways. Additionally, The town of Chefchouan was built in the Spanish style and is surrounded by a host of quirky craft shops. Explore the old Medina of Chefchaouen, walk through its lovely blue washed streets. Finally, we’ll transfer you to your riad where you’ll spend the night.
In the morning we’ll pick you up at your riad in Chefchaouen and drive to Fez through the Riff Mountains, stopping to see the breathtaking landscapes along the route. We will then stop at Volubilis, the well-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage site, enjoy a guided tour around this archaeological sites.
Following that, we will make a visit to the marvelous village of Mounlay Idriss, which is known for its whitewashed houses. We will then head toward Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities where you’ll visit Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, the founder of the city and then continue to Bab Mansour gate and Heri Es Souani before heading to Fes, dropping you off at your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
After breakfast, we will meet your local tour guide of Fes, and then start a full day sightseeing tour of the city. We will first visit the old Medina of Fes, walk through its lively narrow streets then continue to the famous Tanneries, where animal leather such as goat, camel, and cow used to make clothes, shoes and bags.
Following that, explore the historic Medrassas, Nejjarine Fountain, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the founder of Fes and the famous Karaouine Mosque University, world’s oldest university and UNESCO world heritage site. Following that, enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch at a local restaurant. Late afternoon, we will visit Batha museum and Moulay Idriss Mausoleum before taking you to Borj Nord where you can see the whole Medina of Fes, overnight at your accommodation in Fes.
In the morning, we will depart from Fes passing through Immouzar kandar and Ifrane known as Morocco’s little Switzerland, visiting the Atlas Lion Statue. After that, we will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and spend most of the time enjoying the beautiful forests, the jagged rock walls, and Berber villages. Stopping at the Cedar forest of Azrou, Morocco’ largest forest, where you’ll take some photos and relax.
Following that, continue along the way to Midelt and Rich where we stop for lunch. After that, continue to Merzouga desert through Ziz valley and Erfoud, known as the capital of dates. Arriving in Merzouga desert where you’ll meet your camel guide at the dune line, and then start your camel ride adventure crossing the high dunes of Merzouga. Stopping to watch sunset and then continue your desert camp where you’ll spend the night.
In the morning walk through the breathtaking dunes of Merzouga then return to the camp for breakfast. Continue your journey towards the lovely Todra Gorges by travelling along the Rugged Cane Road, which is adorned with thousands of kasbahs. Following that, traverse the lovely palm trees of Tafilalet, admiring the most exquisite landscapes along the way.
Upon arrival at the magnificent Todra Gorges, walk through the gorges with a guide and then continue toward Dades Gorges crossing the red Mountains. Arriving in Dades Gorges, visit the rock formation known as Monkey Fingers before transferring you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
In the morning, we leave toward Marrakech, appreciating the breathtaking landscapes along the way. We’ll continue on to the rose valley of Kalaat M’gouna, where you’ll be surrounded by fragrant pink blooms.
After that, we’ll continue to Ouarzazate, also known as “Hollywood of Africa.” where you’ll be amazed by one of the famous Atlas Studios, and then we’ll head to the well known Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site noted for its remarkable beauty and historical sites. This old kasbah has been featured in films such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Gladiator.
After lunch, we cross the High Atlas Mountains. Stopping at Tizi N Tichka pass 2260 meters High then continue toward Marrakech. Arriving in Marrakech then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
After breakfast, meet your local guide for a full-day discovery of Marrakech, we will start with visits to historic landmarks, including the beautiful Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the Royal Palace. Continue to the historic Ben Youssef Madrasa, one of the ancient qoranic schools in Morocco followed by the impressive Koutoubia Mosque, Morocco’s second-largest mosque.
Wander through the lively souks of the Medina, filled with vibrant colors, crafts, and traditional Moroccan goods. Later, visit Majorelle Garden and the ancient Badi Palace. After lunch, enjoy a peaceful stroll through Menara Garden before returning to the old Medina and then watch some activities at the famous square of Djamaa Lfena including musicians, storytellers and dancers. Finally, tranfser you to your riad where you will spend the last night of your 9 days Morocco itinerary.

Your deposit is fully refundable for cancellations made more than 15 days before your trip’s start date. However, cancelations made less than 15 days, the deposit is none-refundable.
